                                   Biography

I was born in Munster West Germany in 1966 when my father was stationed over there. After leaving Leeds Polytechnic (now Leeds Metropolitan University) in 1988 with a B'Ed in Creative Arts I decided not to go into teaching but started my own business selling crafts and particularly dried flower arrangements. I then went on to become a Weight Watchers Leader which I did for 16 years. In 2002 I met my partner and we set up a light Haulage business (alongside my own job) which we had to finish due to his ill health.

From 1988 to 2006 I did no painting or drawing at all despite it being a big part of my life before that.

In 2007 I went to Leeds College of Art to do an Access course and in 2008 started a part time Fine Art degree but decided that it was not for me. In 2010 I started on the Painting degree pathway at OCA which I will finish in 2021. With caring commitments and life in general it is only now that I feel ready to move my art forwards full time.

I currently live and practice art from my home in Tadcaster North Yorkshire. I do take commissions so please use the contact form at the bottom of the page to get in touch with me.
